Watersports Clubhouse

Rockley Watersports run courses and holidays in the UK and abroad. It is leasing some land at Poole Park, and has planning permission for a new clubhouse, which we are designing.

The purpose-built clubhouse will offer teaching and changing facilities, and be used to run a BTEC Level 3 course in Sport Outdoor Adventure. The site is right next to the water, and to the rear of the clubhouse a separate unit will offer storage for boats, boards, and other watersport related kit.

The clubhouse is a modular design that fully complies with building regulations. There are four modules that combine to form the main building. Each will be constructed in our factory, with all the pre-wired electrics and plumbing in place, before being delivered to site and joined together to form the complete structure.

The space is divided into a main teaching area with small office, and two separate changing rooms with toilets and showers. The main entrance door is along the side of the building. A pair of glass folding doors at one end open onto a veranda overlooking the water. Windows along both sides flood the space with additional natural light, plus there is LED lighting throughout. Check out our Build Options.

The exterior is cladded with attractive Marley Cedral Weatherboard. We were careful not to sacrifice the weather proofing, low maintenance and fire resistant nature of our own composite panels by adding a traditional timber to the exterior that would degrade and rot over time. This particular modern composite fibreboard shares the great properties offered by our panels, making it ideal for a coastal location.

As with all iForm buildings, the clubhouse is lightweight and structurally self-supporting. This is of real benefit to Rockley Watersports because it offers flexibility; if the lease on the land was to end, the structure can be pick up and relocated.
